What a way to spend a Saturday! The 2018 Denver Submission Challenge brought EBI rules competition to Colorado on Saturday, May 26, 2018, and the BJJ Stapleton Combat Crew showed up to take championship belts and medals! EBI rules, for adults, means a 10 minute submission only round (no points, no advantages), followed by 2 overtime bad position periods if there is no submission victory during the 10 minute regulation round. All of the BJJ Stapleton athletes who competed took home medals and Walker Madden, who racked up the most victories on the day, took home two Championship Belts (for victories in the purple, brown, and black belt combined absolute divisions, Gi and No-Gi) as well as a Gold Medal in the heavyweight No-Gi division.

BJJ Stapleton Combat Crew Results: Terra Booe earned Gold (No-Gi) and Silver (Gi); Ryan Collette took home Silver (No-Gi) in his first ever BJJ competition; Lewi Gault earned Gold in the 175lbs Purple Belt No-Gi division and double Bronze in the in the purple, brown, and black belt combined absolute divisions, Gi and No-Gi; Josh Taylor scored double Silver (Gi and No-Gi); Stephanie Taylor earned double Gold (Gi and No-Gi); Shannon Shomo won double Gold (Purple Belt Gi and Absolute Gi divisions); and Walker Madden took home two Championship Belts (for victories in the purple, brown, and black belt combined absolute divisions, Gi and No-Gi) as well as a Gold Medal in the heavyweight No-Gi division!

What a performance! Way to go BJJ Stapleton Combat Crew!
