April 8, 2016, was a good night for BJJ Stapleton. It was the second time Fight To Win Promotions held a Pro Jiu Jitsu event at the National Western Complex, located in Denver, Colorado. Now in its fourth incarnation, with the 6 time IBJJF World Champion and 2015 Women’s ADCC Champion, Mackenzie Dern, competing in the main event of the evening, the Fight To Win Pro 4 was an even bigger affair than the inaugural Fight To Win Pro 1 held in Denver back on November 20, 2015. With big names like Dern, Lavato, Jr., Assis, Bastos and Galvo headlining the Fight To Win Pro events, being featured as an athlete on a Fight To Win Pro card is no small accomplishment. Doomsday Don Westman did not disappoint, securing a hard fought, come from behind, toe hold submission victory over his game opponent, Bruce Bugbee, in a brown belt no-gi submission grappling match! With Doomsday’s victory, BJJ Stapleton retains its undefeated record in Fight To Win Pro events. Way to go Don Westman! Way to go BJJ Stapleton. Thank you to all the BJJ Stapleton family that came out to support Big Don at the live event; and thank you to all those who put in time on the mat to get Doomsday ready for the big show! Great team; great community!
