We have a new Blue Belt! Kate Stewart was awarded her BJJ Blue Belt up at Colorado Brazilian Jiu JItsu Stapleton on November 19, 2018. Having reached the age of 16, and having demonstrated repeatedly her knowledge, perseverance, and skill in the art, it is with great delight that I awarded Kate her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt.

Two very special things happened today, one it was my beautiful mother’s birthday! I am so grateful that she is in my life. I am constantly blessed with her supportiveness and strength that has helped me grow to who I am???????? Which leads me to two. Two I was awarded my blue belt! I have always dreamed about this day growing up and now that it’s here I have no idea how to react other than with joy (and a little fear cause leg locks are now legal). I want to thank everyone who has helped me on my journey. Thank you to my wonderful teammates why have made me into a better person on and off the mat, to my amazing father and coach who has loved, pushed, and supported me with anything in life, and finally of course to my mother who will continue to help me find my way through life and make it the best it can be. I love you all so much ???????? Happy to be back in full force and more excited than ever. See you in the morning wrecking crew”
