After his return from the 2021 IBJJF No Gi Worlds tournament, Mark Cournoyer was awarded his Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu up at Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori by Professors Don Westman and Sean Stewart. Congratulations Mark! Outstanding! Earning a CBJJS Purple Belt is no easy task. It requires a good dose of hard training and an ambition to be better today than you were the day before, not in the short term, but with consistency and persistence over an extended period of time, even in the face of setbacks and adversity, which are inevitable. Mark has achieved Purple Belt by demonstrating undeniable skill developed through consistent training, all while being an inspirational teammate. Brilliant!
