On November 23, 2020, Teri Stewart, Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori’s first ever female Black Belt, successfully registered her Black Belt with the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation and received her IBJJF Black Belt Card, making Teri Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori’s first IBJJF Registered Female Black Belt Professor!

This is what Teri had to say about her accomplishment on Facebook:

Yesterday at 9:32 AM  · Over 11 years ago Sean Stewart and I made a decision and opened a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school. Seeing Sean’s passionate and artful teaching inspired me to start my own BJJ journey. In September, I was honored to be awarded my black belt by Professor Sean. Thank you, Sean, for always believing in me and inspiring me to be my best version of myself. You are both a light and an anchor in our family – inspiring, encouraging and steady – and a blessing to all who are lucky enough to bask in the warmth of your love and light. I am so proud of you. Sean always says, “You are only as good as your training partners,” and I certainly would not have been able to achieve this without all the hours of all the people who have worked with me and shared their gifts with me. I am so honored to be a part of this amazing community at Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori. Thank you all.”

Congratulations Professor Teri! What an accomplishment!
