On June 25, 2024, Professor Teresa Stewart (“Teri”) was certified by the IBJJF as a Black Belt, 1st Degree. Today, July 7, 2024, Teri received her IBJJF Black Belt Certificate, 1st Degree, in the mail and she and Professor Sean hung it on the wall up at Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori just after Sunday Open Mat. Of this accomplishment Professor Teri should be very proud. It means that she has successfully completed the IBJJF’s Rules Seminar, the IBJJF’s SafeSport Training, passed the IBJJF Mandated Background Check, and that she has been actively participating in the practice of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a Black Belt for no less than 3 years. No small feat! CBJJS is blessed to have our talented instructor, and first female BJJ Black Belt, recognized and certified by the IBJJF as a 1st Degree Black Belt. Congratulations Professor Teri! Brilliant!
