Lewi was awarded his Brown Belt by Professor “Doomsday” Don Westman on the Podium in Austin, Texas, after wining double Silver (Weight and Open Class) at the 2021 IBJJF Austin International Jiu Jitsu No-Gi Championship! We do not often have the opportunity to award BJJ Brown Belts, as very few athletes who begin their BJJ journey ever rise to the level of expertise, knowledge, and ability necessary to earn recognition as a BJJ Brown Belt. Often it takes over a decade of consistent training, hard rolling, ambition to be a bit better than the day before, and perseverance through setbacks, to earn a BJJ Brown Belt. Awesome job Lewi.
