While the Combat Crew we took to the 2026 Grappling Industries Denver Jiu Jitsu Championship was small, we were mighty! Our crew consisted of only two courageous athletes, each made the podium and we came away with Gold and Silver.

Joey earned Silver, not having a point scored against him the entire tournament, but losing on a scoreless hard-fought match on a referee’s decision. Way to work Joey! Brilliant!

Rebekah took Double Gold, winning every match by guillotine submission, both in Gi and No-Gi. In the end it was four matches and five guillotine submissions for the Guillotine Queen (see the No-Gi Finals video below to see how an athlete can obtain 5 submissions in 4 matches)! Way to go Rebekah! Brilliant!
