What a day! The Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stapleton competition team was on fire. Four competitors had the courage to step on the mat and compete at the first ever Grappling Industries tournament held in Denver, Colorado, on April 8, 2017. Those four competitors brought home seven medals: Double Gold for Heather Westman – Gold in the Women’s Absolute No Gi Division and Gold in the Women’s Blue Belt Division; Gold and Silver for Terra Booe – Gold in the 11 and 12 year old Orange Belt Division (boys and girls competing in the same division) and Silver in the 11 and 12 year old No Gi Division (boys and girls competing in the same division); Gold and Silver for Don Westman – Gold in the Black/Brown Belt Absolute Division (all victories by submission) and Silver in the Absolute No Gi Division; and Silver for Lewi Gault in his first competition as a Purple Belt! Way to go CBJJ Stapleton athletes! Way to go Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stapleton! What a good, good day!
