On August 1, 2020, the community in which our Academy is located, and from which our Academy took a portion of its name, determined that it was in best interests of the community to change its name. In order to honor and respect the decision of the community to remove “Stapleton” from its name to promote a more diverse and inclusive future, we have likewise removed “Stapleton” from the name of our Academy. We are now:

Why replace “Stapleton” with “Satori?” Satori means awakening, comprehension, and understanding, all of which we strive to pursue in our practice of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu up at the Academy. While our name has changed, our symbol has, and always will, remain:
