It was a night filled with victory for the the Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori Traveling Combat Crew that headed down to Austin, Texas, to participate in the Who’s Number One SuperFight Event hosted by Fight2Win on July 31, 2020. Brilliant jiu jitsu was put on display by CBJJS athletes Stephanie “Rampage” Taylor and Professor Don “Doomsday” Westman. First to the stage was Stephanie Taylor, in a Blue Belt No-Gi matchup. Rampage finished her opponent via heel-hook submission early in her match after executing a slick single-leg X entanglement. It was awesome! On the big stage, after securing her submission victory, Stephanie Taylor became Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori’s newest Purple Belt receiving her belt from her Traveling Combat Crew coach and corner, Professor Don Westman. Brilliant!

Not to be outdone by his pupil, Professor Don “Doomsday” Westman, secured another submission victory on the big stage via armbar early in his Black Belt No-Gi matchup. Professor Don accepted the bout on short notice (2 days), after his opponent’s original adversary had to withdraw due to illness or injury. While Doomsday’s opponent was a multiple time IBJJF Black Belt Master’s Division World Champion, Professor Don executed an excellent game plan verses his opponent’s preferred postion (turtle) ending the match quickly with an excellent armbar submission.

Two matches; two submission victories! Way to go CBJJS Traveling Combat Crew! Way to go Stephanie! Way to go Professor Don! Way to go Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori! What a night!
