Grappling Industries Denver 2018 – We earned your medals! The first Jiu Jitsu competition of 2018 is in the books. Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stapleton sent a Combat Crew to the Grappling Industries – Denver 2018 tournament held at the Foothills Field House, on Saturday, January 13, 2018. The results were good; actually, better than good, they were brilliant! “King” Lewi Gault took double gold, winning gold in both his Gi and No-Gi Purple Belt divisions; Dr. Matt Gnirke took double gold, winning gold in both his Gi and No-Gi Blue Belt divisions; Walker Madden took double gold and silver, winning gold in his Gi division, gold in his No-Gi division, and wining Silver in the No-Gi Super Absolute (all belts, all weights) division; Shannon Shomo took bronze and silver, winning bronze in her Blue Belt Gi division and winning silver in the women’s Absolute division; and Alex Thompson won 2 matches at his first ever Jiu Jitsu tournament: Outstanding performance by the entire CBJJS Combat Crew! Thank you to Coach “Big” Don Westman, Allison “Stella” Walters, and Heather “The Martyr” Westman, for coaching and supporting their teammates at the all day event! What a team! Way to go CBJJS Combat Crew!! Way to go Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stapleton!!! Fight To Win is up next at the end of February and I see more hardware on the horizon!!!!
