Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitu Satori sent six athletes to compete in the 2021 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship, held just outside of Dallas, TX, on October 7th-10th, 2021; three came back World Champions and one made the podium earning a Bronze Medal. It is hard enough for a small Jiu Jitsu Academy from Denver, like Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori, to have a single athlete win at the highest levels of competition in the IBJJF; but to have three athletes from a single Academy win Gold at the World Championship level at a single IBJJF tournament is pretty phenomenal. Congratulations to Ricado Lewis, Cory Lowe, and Del Elmagbari who each performed brilliantly and brought home Gold at the 2021 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship in their respective divisions! RICARDO LEWIS – IBJJF WORLD CHAMPION
Rico did not just win the Gold at the 2021 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship, he dominated. Rico scored the initial takedown on each of his opponents and submitted each of his opponents on his way to earning the World Champion Gold Medal. Brilliant! Way to go Rico! CORY LOWE – IBJJF WORLD CHAMPION
Not to be outdone by Rico, Big Cory, took down each of his opponents and submitted each of his opponents on his way to World Championship Gold at the 2021 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship and did not have a single point scored on him throughout the entire tournament! Domination! Amazing! Way to go Cory! Way to go Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori!
DEL ELMAGBARI – IBJJF WORLD CHAMPION
If domination was the name of the game for Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori Athletes at the 2021 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship, Del did not disappoint! Del pulled guard, swept, and proceeded to submit each of his opponents on the way to winning World Championship Gold! Phenomenal Jiu Jitsu! Way to go Del! Way to go Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Satori!
Professor Sean Stewart competed at the 2021 World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship and made the podium as well, earning a Bronze Medal.
